Central Alabama Golf Association

Welcome to the Central Alabama Golf Association (CAGA) Website.

We finally broke the 100 mark today at Auburn University Club with 103 players. We also signed up 8 new members to take us to 284 active members only 3 years since CAGA was formed. We must be doing something right. Today's results have been posted to the "results" page.

Mark you calendars for our annual membership meeting on Sep 13. Details to follow soon. Also, a revised schedule has been posted,

The association now has a phone number (334-207-8030) to go along with our website (CAGAGolf.com) and email ([email protected]). The phone has messaging (text) and voicemail. Please use this phone number to contact me on all CAGA related business.

We also have a new Rules Committee: Hattie Robinson, Turner Clem, Darrell Culverhouse, Bob Rocheleau, Bruce Knapp and Tom Watson. They are already debating several issues. We'll report their decisions as soon as available.

The AU Club event on Tuesday July 17 is fully booked from 0700 - 1200. I'll maintain a waiting list in case of last minute cancellations.

The Farmlinks event on 9/11 is fully booked and we are unable to extend the window beyond 12:30 due to a corporate event immediately behind us. I will maintain a waiting list so if you have a t-time and will not have a 4some, please let me know so we can fill the vacancy. Do not call Farmlinks; they may give the t-time away to an outsider.

Reminder: When making t-times, be sure to specify that you are playing in the CAGA Dogfight. Notify me as soon as possible at [email protected] if you encounter a problem and I'll try to fix it. There was considerable confusion at Farmlinks but by the time I was made aware it was too late to do anything. As a result, some people that tried to get t-times long ago are now on the waiting list.

Also, please check dress codes particularly at the private clubs. Blue jeans are a definite no-no at many courses. Arrowhead in particular strictly enforces the "no jeans" rule. Also, collared shirts are required at most all of our courses. The dress code is posted on most club's website.

This is your association. Please continue to help make it better by submitting your ideas. Everything will be considered. Help us spread the word, and bring your playing partners to future CAGA dogfights. Anyone with questions can contact the CAGA Administrator at [email protected]
