Central Alabama Golf Association

Welcome to the Central Alabama Golf Association (CAGA) Website.

We had 45 players at Cottonwood Tuesday despite a threat of rain. We signed up 3 new members which brings our active membership to 254 members.

The updated schedule is now available at the "2018 Schedule" link above. It reflects the July 17 return visit to Auburn University Club along with a couple other changes, all highlighted in bold/italic font. The "X" next to an event indicates the four remaining 2018 events where the "random draw" scoring system will be used.

Farmlinks (256-208-7640) is accepting advance t-time reservations for our event on September 11. Call now to get your favorite t-time if you are sure you are playing.

Reminder: When making t-times, be sure to specify that you are playing in the CAGA Dogfight. Notify me as soon as possible at [email protected] if you encounter a problem and I'll try to fix it.

Also, please check dress codes particularly at the private clubs. Blue jeans are a definite no-no at many courses, notably Arrowhead. Collared shirts are required at most all of our courses.

This is your association. Please help us continue to make it better by submitting your ideas. Everything will be considered. Help us spread the word, and bring your playing partners to future CAGA dogfights. Anyone with questions can contact the CAGA Administrator at [email protected]

The Central Alabama Golf Association currently consists of the following participating clubs:  Auburn University Club, Arrowhead CC, Cottonwood GC, Cypress Tree GC, Indian Pines GC, Lagoon Park GC, Moore's Mill CC, Prattville CC, Robert Trent Jones (RTJ) Capitol Hill, RTJ Grand National, RTJ Cambrian Ridge, RTJ Oxmoor Valley, Still Waters GC, and Timberline GC. We are in discussion with several other prestigious Central Alabama courses that have expressed interest in hosting CAGA events.

All golfers over the age of 21 are welcome, male and female. You can play with your group or we will pair you with other CAGA members.

One-time annual registration dues are $20. The $30 per event includes administrative fees, prize fund, cart and green fees.

Under normal circumstances, gentlemen 59 and under play the "regular/mens" tees, gentlemen 60-69 play the "senior" tees, and gentlemen 70+ along with the ladies play the forward tees. However, we do make adjustments for courses which are significantly longer, shorter, easier or more difficult than the norm to ensure that golf remains fun! Several courses have added family or "beginner" tees. We applaud this initiative to encourage new layers, but we do not play from these tees under any circumstances. Please check the course information sheet available at registration for the rules pertaining to the course in play.

The format will be Dogfight Points.
Ace                          15 points plus $50 cash
Double Eagle         15 points plus $15 cash
Eagle                       10 points plus $10 cash

Par                             3 points
Bogey                        2 points
Double Bogey          1 point
